On The Up!

I’ve been trying this for about three weeks now and am definitely feeling more vibrant and full of energy.  Hopefully it’s the regular intake of Bio-Strath, rather than the fact that the sun has been making an appearance recently!

Back From Butlins…

My last post here alluded to the possibility that this Bio Strath stuff was perhaps improving my recovery time when burning the candle at both ends. I’m pretty sure I still feel the same way, with perhaps the ultimate test now behind me.

Last week I worked almost 55 hours in four days in order to cover my work up until Thursday evening. Then I turned up my tunes, turned off my laptop and prepared to hit Butlins in Minehead with all I could muster.

The individual responsible for booking the Manchester coach to Somerset, unknown to me and my associates when we first contacted them for seats on the vehicle, seemed overly eager to make the most of things, so by 7.30am on Friday morning we were cruising out of Central Mancunia half asleep, while he cracked on with my friend’s Jagermeister. Amusingly, when we left Camp Rave on Monday it was this very same early riser that kept us all waiting some 45 minutes to set off home.

Anyway, BLOC Weekend, as it’s known, consisted of untold hours worth of dancing in various obscure locations (Jumpin’ Jacks, the `family pub’, a bowling alley) to varying degrees of pounding rhythms- from brutal techno to rude-boy Funky. We stayed in a chalet, grabbed an horrific amount of sleep (some three hours in four days) and abused our bodies with flat beer in plastic cups.

On Tuesday I dragged myself out of bed after allowing some serious sleep back into my brain, and finished up my copy from the weekend – harder than it sounds I assure you of that. It’s undeniable that I was feeling the strain, but I turned my work in on time, and gave myself a pat on the back before going out to play five-a-side. Another impressive feat in my eyes.

By Wednesday I was pretty much back to being right as rain, and wondering how I managed to get away with it all quite so easily? Was it my shocking ability to cope with endurance test weekends such as this, or these little tablets I’ve been taking? I know where my bet lies, after all, I’ve been living with me for quite some time now.

It’s been quite interesting reading the other bloggers posts. Most people seem to be experiencing some positive effects so I’m looking forwards to that myself. I’m also gonna make the most of this trial to focus on my eating and exercising habits as there’s no point in taking a supplement if I’m living an unhealthy lifestyle! Ok, so it’s not like I’m eating KFC every day (never eaten it!), but I do need to increase the amount of fruit and veg I eat and though I bike everywhere I’d like to start some regular exercise. I used to practice yoga and miss it so hopefully taking these pills will help motivate me to get up off my ass. I suffer from depression so find it very hard to motivate myself, I’ve just started taking anti-depressants for the first time so I’m intrigued to find out how the combination will make me feel.

Better Late Than Never

A bit later than everyone else, only just started taking the tablets.  I got knocked down with the start of an horrendous cold a couple of days ago, so I figured it might help me back on the road to recovery. If anyone’s got any good, natural cold remedies,  give me a shout.  Strepsils and Lemsip really don’t do it for me.

Is it weird that I really like the smell of these pills?

Anecdotal Evidence For A Reduction In Severity Of Symptoms

Although I’m still getting low grade infections, to be fair, my huband did have a stinking cold last week, and I only got an annoying sniffle, so there is some anecdotal evidence for a reduction in severity of symptoms here…hmmm, further experimentation required…

The Tablets Are Quite Vile!

So, been taking this for a little while now.

First comments – the tablets are quite vile! They made me gag the first few times I took them, as they are quite large too…

Health wise I can’t say I’ve seen much improvement. Still getting low grade infections and feeling a bit under the weather, but falling down the stairs and being less mobile than usual may not have helped this – we all know excercise is really important.

I’m getting better from that (broken toe almost pain-free!), so we’ll see how it goes from here…

So Far So Good…

Well I must be in week 3 by now but probably only realistically in week 2 as I still find it hard to remember to take so many tablets!  No noticeable difference yet ….. I suppose it takes time?  And how much of it is in the mind anyway?

I would love to have more energy especially as we’re rushing towards a big day in my life – I’m getting married again in May so would love to feel energetic for that, don’t want to be fading out half way through!

I started a new job this week so thought it would be the perfect time to start my 60 day trial as well. Beginning a new routine is always a little strange so I’m hoping the tablets will keep me feeling healthy and on track. I’ll report back next week.

Tough Couple Of Weeks

Been a stressful few weeks but still taking the tablets. Been threatening with a cold/sore throat but still not formed into a full on illness so maybe the tablets are stopping the bugs from taking full affect? Let’s hope so!
